E-Visa or Electronic Visa is an Electronic travel authorization which is an online procedure of applying for a visa and does not require the applicant to go to the embassy to apply for a visa.

The Ethiopian eVisa program allows mostly nationalities to obtain a visa online before departure. It can be obtained through a simple electronic application and takes around 3 days to process. 

The eVisa is valid for either 30 or 90 days, depending on the applicant’s requirements, and is issued for a single entry or multiple entry. The passport must be valid for over 6 months from the intended arrival date. All eVisa holders must enter the country by air through Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Ethiopia visa Extension requests are possible before the visa expires and are processed by the Head Office of Immigration and Citizenship Service.
