Getahun Amare
Dear Ambassador I am Prof. Getahun Amare from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. I am an applied linguist by profession. I have taught linguistics and Amharic courses at BA, MA and PhD levels. I have also taught Amharic for foreigners for more than thirty years. Currently I am the head of the Department of Amharic. Starting from September 2024, I will have sabbatical leave for one year. During this time, I would like to teach Amharic or related linguistics courses at any level Tokyo university. I am, therefore, writing this email hoping that you will make my request possible.
