Co-organized by the Ethiopian Embassy in Rabat and the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, a Coffee Trade Forum was held in Rabat, Morocco.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Nardos Ayalew highlighted Ethiopiaโs unique status as the birthplace of coffee, with a proud heritage of producing premium, high-quality Arabica beans renowned worldwide. She also acknowledged the growing appreciation for quality coffee among Moroccan consumers and the emergence of a sophisticated, evolving market. The Ambassador further emphasized the importance of creating platforms that foster direct engagement between exporters and importers, enabling stronger and more meaningful trade partnerships.
President of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, Hassen Berkani, highlighted the rising demand for premium, high-quality coffee in Moroccoโs major cities and affirmed that Ethiopian coffee is well-positioned to meet Moroccan consumersโ evolving preferences for product quality and origin.
The forum brought together leading Ethiopian coffee exporters and key Moroccan importers, roasters, and distributors. Through structured B2B sessions, participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, explored partnership opportunities, and laid the foundation for sustained commercial collaboration.
