I need to officially designate Belaynesh Dereje Mekonen as the legal guardian of my children to process their passport and other issues as I am currently not with them, and my wife, the mother of my children, passed away in September 2018. Previously, I designated Belaynesh Dereje Mekonen as based on the Oromia Regional State Court to take care of my children and process any related cases concerning them. However, this guardianship is not enough to process their passport as I learned from the Ethiopian immigration agency. Both documents, the previous guardianship and letter confirming me as a father of these children, from the court of Oromia Regional State were attached via email as supporting documents. I would be grateful if you could provide me with information on the specific procedures and requirements necessary to obtain such a letter.
